Japanese classes are held 3 times a week by the members of "Ayumi
no Kai" and volunteer teachers for those who live or work in Ota City
and want to study Japanese.

| Purpose |
To teach beginner students basic Japanese so that they can handle easy
everyday conversation and to teach intermediate students how to read and
write; as well as to learn about one another's customs and culture while
having a good time studying Japanese and learning to live together.

| Method |
| Students are separated into groups according to their ability and are taught
using various worksheets, materials designed by the teachers, and a textbook
written by the city. The members of "Ayumi no Kai" and volunteer
teachers will also tailor the lessons to meet the needs and requests of
the students and groups. |
